Prior to COVID I had lost 80 pounds with eating healthy and moving more. During the stay at home order I, sadly, found 20 of those pounds again.

However, it’s time to get back in the game and lose these 20 plus a few more. In addition to shedding weight my body doesn’t need I want to start stretching and getting back into a yoga practice.

I’m still not comfortable going to group activities so working out at home is a great option. Thanks to my partnership with @silverandfit I have access to a number of great workouts created for people over 50. Especially useful since it will be months before it’s kayaking weather again in Michigan ;)

I love that time between Christmas and New Years where you can reflect on what was (or in the case of this year, try to block it from memory) and look forward to the new year and all the possibilities it holds.

As I do a hella happy dance on my way into 2021 I’m making plans to recommit myself to nurturing my body, mind and soul more and I’d like to invite you to join me on the adventure.

I’m committing myself to journaling, meditating, eating healthier and moving daily. Taking the journey with friends will make it more fun and keep me motivated.

An important part of managing my weight is regular

An important part of managing my weight is regular activity, such as walking, cycling, or hiking.

When I fall off the wagon, often it’s because I got “busy,” and didn’t prioritize me and well, because2020 🤦‍♀️
.
Winter months are harder because it’s so cold outside in northern Michigan.

I do enjoy a vigorous outdoor walk, but when it’s too cold, I try to carve out a half hour to do a video class indoors.

Preferably beach yoga so I can at least pretend to be somewhere warm :)
