Easy Mother’s Day Candy Bar Poem Card DIY

A candy bar poem card is a unique and fun gift that you can make for Mother’s Day.
The hardest part is writing the poem, but you just need to think of a couple of sentences.
Sometimes it helps to browse the candy bar aisle.
Have a notepad and pen handy to jot down notes as you think of ideas.

Candy Bar Poem Card DIY

Candy Bar Poem Supplies

  • Elmer’s Foam Board
  • Candy Bars
  • Paper Crafting Supplies (Cardstock, Pen, Glue, and Ruler)
I’ve had a stash of paper supplies for years so not sure of the name brand of the items. You’ll want 12×12 paper size in a couple of different colors and some glitter and glue and any other scrappy supply that catches your interest.

I decided on this foam board. It’s the perfect size for a card:

Candy Bar Poem How To

Decorate the cover of the foam board.

I used a variety of scrap paper and then used glue and glitter to write out the front of the card.

After the outside is decorated and completely dry decorate the inside of the foam board.

I just took a guess on the spacing and hand wrote the card.

Don’t tell Alan, it drives him nuts when I don’t measure things out but I don’t have time for that.

I just want to get it done and checked off the list so I can move onto the 100 other things that need to be done 😉

My Candy Bar Poem reads:

Wish I could give you a 100 Grand
for a shopping spree on 5th Avenue.
Instead please Take 5 and enjoy
this Thingamajig while thinking
of your 3 Musketeers.

Ok, it doesn’t really rhyme, but I never said I was a poet. I think it’s pretty good based on the candy I had available.

I have another Mother’s Day Candy Bar poem you might want to check out.

I wanna do this but I can't come up with a poem. I just got back form the store and I grabbed a whole bunch of candy bars. I got milky way, snickers, mounds, take 5, almond joy, and others. Can you help?

Great idea…think I will do that for my mom. Lord knows things are strapped and she like creative. Maybe it will bring a smile to her face. 🙂
