PrizeCandle-1

I’ve been hearing about candles that hide little gems in them. I was intrigued, but hadn’t gotten around to buying a candle. It kept slipping my mind, then my travel calendar really ramped up and, honestly, I forgot all about it. I was surprised when I received an email asking if I’d like to review a prize candle. Why, yes, yes I would. To my delight one jasmine neroli scented Prize Candle arrived today.

The packaging is very pretty and I couldn’t wait to see what surprise the candle held. According to the inside flap on the box I could discover a prize valued from $10 to $5,000. Ohhh….I was so excited to see what it would be.

The Original Prize Candle is an all natural soy wax candle in wonderful fragrances. The Jasmine Neroli was lightly scented and not overwhelming at all. I dont’ like heavily scented candles and was a little worried the Prize Candle would be too overwhelming. However, it was perfect and didn’t bother me at all.

According to the package the candle has a 40 hour burn time. I was really hoping that I wouldn’t have to wait 40 hours to see my new piece of jewelry.

After 3 hours of burning I was able to see some plastic sticking out. Because I’m inpatient I may have pried the plastic out of the candle.

The jewelry is encased in a small plastic container so no wax gets on the ring.

When I opened up the plastic container I saw that the ring was in another small plastic bag for extra protection.

So very pretty!!! I LOVE the red color. There was also a small piece of paper in the plastic container with a code on it. I went to the website and entered the code to find out the ring value. My ring is worth $25!

The only con to the Prize Candle is that I ended up with a ring that is WAY too big. It is so big that it fits on Alan’s pinky finger and is about 3 sizes to big for any of my fingers 🙁 Hopefully, I will find someone that wears a size 8 or 9 that I can gift the ring to. I want to try another candle and see what I discover next. Hopefully, it will be a ring that fits. If not, I’m going to have some very happy friends. I think I may quickly become a #PrizeAddict.
