The Perfect Getaway At The Shores Resort and Spa in Daytona Beach

There are any number of accommodations available in Daytona Beach, Florida, but I really think you’ll love the luxury of The Shores Resort and Spa.

This really is the perfect place to experience all Daytona Beach has to offer.

Located on the quieter side of Daytona Beach (towards Ponce Inlet), but only steps from the sand and surf and it’s location is near all the attractions that you’ll want to enjoy on vacation.

Arriving at the resort you’ll be met by the valet who will help you unload your luggage and park your car, if you choose.

If you would rather not use valet parking, self parking is an option as well.

Walking into the lobby you are greeted by warm and rich decor. Complete with cozy sitting areas, a small fountain and chandeliers.

The ambiance immediately lets you know that you’re going to have a great stay.

CHECK-IN AT THE SHORES RESORT AND SPA

At the front desk you’ll find check-in to be an easy and seamless process. Here you’ll pick up your room keys and get a brief overview of amenities .

You should also receive two complimentary drink tickets, a s’more kit ticket, and if traveling with children, a beach ball.

Just a short way through the lobby you’ll find the elevators on your right that will whisk you up to your room. Note that the elevators do not require any special code or key card to access.

OCEANFRONT ROOMS AT THE SHORES RESORT AND SPA

I stayed in one of the oceanfront, spacious rooms that was absolutely perfect.

The views were amazing and the balcony was my favorite place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or for stargazing at night.

Room was complete with a king sized bed with premium bedding, comfy couch, work desk, flat-screen tvs, small fridge and microwave, luxury bath products, and fluffy bath towels and, complimentary wireless internet access.

Beachfront Cabanas

Lounge in luxury on the scenic pool deck in the comfort of your private cabana. Feel the cool ocean breezes with food, beverages, and refreshing cocktails.

Beachfront Fire Pits & S’mores Kits

The fire pits are lit nightly, weather dependant, as the sun sets. It’s the perfect time to grab your free s’more kit from the front desk and toast your marshmallows over a fire. I think a combination of salt air and campfire has to be just about the best combination ever.

Shores Resort and Spa Pools and Hot Tub

Enjoy the spacious outdoor pool or take a dip in the hot tub while enjoying ocean views. There is also a kiddie pool for the kiddos to splash around in.

Note, there is a handicap chair to assist getting in the pool for those that may need it.

Beach Access

Cross the pool deck area, open the gate, and take a few steps down to the beach for instant ocean access. Turn left or right and walk for miles in either direction.

There is a coded lock on the gate so be sure to have the room key envelope with you which has the code on it.

Welcome Cocktails

When you register you’ll receive two tickets for complimentary cocktails from the bar. I highly recommend cashing that ticket in right before sunset and partaking in my favorite activities–> sips at sunset.

Fitness Center

For those that are so inclined the fitness center is open 24-hours. There are cardio machines and strength training equipment as well as yoga mats and ocean views.

Marketplace

This is the go-to place to pick up something you’ve forgotten at home (ie. toothbrush, Tylenol, etc), some snacks or even a souvenir. The marketplace also offers Starbucks coffee including a variety of hot and cold drinks.

Boutique Spa

Located on the second floor of the hotel, this boutique spa offers everything from body treatments and facials to mani/pedis.

Be sure to make your spa reservations when you make your hotel reservation.

It’s indulgent and so very relaxing. It’s the perfect way to end your stay in Daytona Beach.

Restaurant, Lounge & Tiki Bar

There is a full-service restaurant serving up a delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. Additionally, a lounge in the lobby and a tiki bar offer up some delicious cocktails.

Bike Rentals

You can work with Blue Coast Bike Rentals to have bikes delivered to the hotel where you can keep them locked up with valet.

The resort is conveniently located to a beach bike entrance so you can be bike riding on the beach is no time at all.
