It’s not often that we get good weather in the UK so when we do, it’s important that we make the most of it. It is important that you are not cooped up inside during warmer days and you are out in the great outdoors in order to get the vitamin D you need to keep healthy (remember to wear sun cream though, obviously). Whether you prefer to spend sunny at the beach or on a weekend away, here are some of the best places in the UK to soak up the sun.
Beaches are always a good option to spend time in the sun with your family. There are many beautiful beaches here in the UK. Here are a couple of great family beaches for inspiration:Black Rock Sands,Wales This drive-on beach is great for a family day out. Behind the sand dunes are a range of caravan parks ideal for families or quite sites for couples. It’s a popular spot not just for the average picnickers and sandcastle builders, but also for motor boats and water bikes which have a special zone designated for their use so that they don’t interrupt avid paddlers or swimmers.
Blackpool Sands, Devon
Blackpool Sands is an award winning beach and one of Devon’s most popular attractions. The beach has sand pits and a safe swimming area for children. For adrenaline and outdoor types, there are also bathing rafts and kayaks for hire so you and your family will never find yourself bored. The beach is set in a sheltered bay surrounded by evergreens so it also the perfect place to relax.

Here you will find a range of activities to keep you and the kids entertained with just a walk away from the beach you can soak up the sun paddling in the sea and building sand castles. If you’re bored of beaches, there is a nearby lake which offers you the opportunity to take a boat trip or if you are feeling brave, try your hand at fishing. Sporting enthusiasts can head for the zipline, climbing wall, or enjoy a game of Crazy Golf. There is plenty to do for all!
