Ah summer, I love the fun it brings. There are bbq’s, picnics, kayak trips, and just spending time visiting with friends on the deck while watching the sun sink slowly into the horizon.
The only thing that makes these activities even better is a really great glass of wine. When I was asked to review Black Box wine I was thrilled. Some days I just really, really love my job.
Black Box Wines makes it so easy to serve wine to my guests. Black Box Wines fits right in to any party atmosphere. Just add a couple boxes to the beverage table and guests can easily pour the right amount of wine for them.
No more worries about finding a corkscrew, fighting to remove the corkscrew, or having a bottle break. The box is an easy open, spill proof, break proof container that makes serving wine so much easier.
Usually, if I have wine left over after my party (ok, I’ll admit that seldom happens…) I’m left trying to cram the cork back into the bottle to keep it fresh a little while longer. Black Box just goes right back in the fridge (if needed) where it will stay fresh for up to four weeks after opening! One box is equal to 4-750 ml bottles of wine and I don’t have to hurry up and drink it all within a day or two because it might go bad. Black Box Wines actually saves me money since the wine stays fresh so long.
The best part (I know, how is it possible to get any better) is that Black Box Wines is available in a small box size (equivalent to 3 glasses of wine) that is perfect for kayaking. I love floating down a river, but floating down a river while enjoying a nice glass of wine is just about as good as life gets.
WINE REVIEW
I’m not a huge fan of red wines, but I actually found the Merlot to be acceptable to my taste buds. It has aromas of plums and cinnamon-spiced oak. It was smooth on my palate and has a long finish ending with a tannins flavor. Pair this Merlot with hearty dishes like grilled meat or heavy tomato-based sauce meals.
I’m more a fan of white wines so I was looking forward to trying the Sauvignon Blanc. It is fermented in stainless steel and is a refreshing and zesty wine. It has a fruity flavor that ends with a clean, dry finish. It pairs well with chicken, fish and salads. It’s perfect for hot summer days.
I saved trying the best, in my opinion, for last. Sweeter wines are generally my favorite and the Moscato did not disappoint. It is smooth on the tongue and has a peach/nectarine flavor. Pair with desserts or any creamy texture recipe. This is available in the 500ml box only.
It’s time to think inside the box. Available in ten delicious varietals and two sizes (3L and Tetra), Black Box Wine will have you ready to lose the bottle! Black Box Wines is perfect for all your summer gatherings!
