When we give a gift to someone we care for, we want to give a gift that means something, that will be treasured and that will invoke a memory. We want the gift to stand apart from the crowd and invoke an emotion like excitement or happiness. A personalized gift is a unique way to surprised a loved one.

With so many options for personalizing gifts it is easy to become overwhelmed with possibility.I can recall one year as my wedding anniversary approached and I had no idea what to get my husband. For weeks I scratched my head and debated. What could I give the guy who has everything to show him how happy I am to celebrate our marriage? I gave a great deal of thought to the things my husband likes best. He loves to wear t-shirts on the weekends, he loves the water and of course he loves me. This inspired me to create a unique gift that my husband could cherish for many years. I had someone write our names in the sand on the beach and take a breath-taking photo. From this photo I had a t-shirt created. I enlarged and framed the photo and I wrapped both gifts in beautiful paper. I presented my husband with a work of art that, to date, hangs in our home and I gave him a memory on a t-shirt that he happily wore every chance he got. His reaction was priceless. He was speechless. All he could do was give me a hug and the sweetest smile I had ever seen.

Now that we have children the occasions to give thoughtful gifts has increased. When I need to create a unique gift that is personal I think about what is practical and fun at the same time? What will excite the kids and make them happy? I also think about what we are celebrating; birthday, Christmas, etc. I let the answers inspire me and I have found the possibilities are endless.

I have developed a fondness for giving gifts that are made unique for my kids such as personalized t-shirts. I love that I can give them a style that is their own and that they get excited about a practical gift like clothing. Bright Star Kids has a fantastic assortment of clothing you can personalize for the little ones in your life to offer them a one of a kind gift that they will love to wear. You can save 15% on your purchases with a special offer discount and I am willing to wager that you will have a ton of fun creating unique gifts for the people you love.

Of course, as with any gift, the packaging is a big deal. I like to wrap the gift in nice paper, tulle, fabric, old book pages, etc. I then tie the package with a pretty ribbon or twine depending on the wrapping. I then add a unique and fun trinket to the top that the gift receiver will enjoy. It’s a nice little surprise before unwrapping the gift. A gift should be an experience to remember from the moment it is received until it’s fully unwrapped.

Be different this Christmas & get the kids a super cute gift personalized especially for them! Save 15% when you use the code “GIFT” in the shopping cart. Min spend $30. Expires December 15, 2013.

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Bright Star Kids. The opinions and text are all mine.
