Michigan Odd Festivals That Should Be On Your Bucket List

All around the country, you’ll find interesting festivals but, personally, I think you’ll find the best odd festivals in Michigan that  you need to add to your bucket list.

Do you want to celebrate a fish sandwich? You can do it in Bay Port!

Want to see an outhouse race? Check out Trenary!

Like bugs? Visit Dundee!

Want to tip toe through the Tulips with your Ukelele? You can do both in Holland and Old Town Lansing!

Where do you want to go first?

These are just some of fun odd festivals that you will find in the details for Michigan unique and odd festivals list on Just Me Regina. She has them mapped out by month, so you can pick your adventures every month and have a blast year round.

Festivals to visit are available January to December. Make a bucket list of Michigan’s festival you want to go see, fill your tank and you are on your way.

Of course, you will want to pack a few snacks and take your camera to grab some photos of these events. Your friends may not believe you when you explain you went to a mushroom festival, potato festival, or yes, even a cheese festival. You may want to bring a few friends or family with you to share the experience.

Like you would expect, festivals are pretty popular and draw a crowd. The Cheeseburger festival in Caseville has a big following. If you are traveling a great distance, you will want to plan in advance to get a hotel to get a room or campsite nearby.

Have many festivals you want to attend, but can’t decide on where to visit first? Write them down on small pieces of paper and draw from a cup where you will visit this year and next and map out your vacations that way.

Which festival will you visit first?

Are you looking for more adventures in Michigan? Make sure to check out Zehnder’s Splash Village in Frankenmuth!

About Me

Deb is a travel writer/influencer from Michigan whose work takes her across the country in search of unique (think haunted & strange) and interesting attractions, landmarks, cities and towns.

She’s an avid road-tripper that loves staying in haunted locations, but enjoys everything from glamping to luxury accommodations.

She suffers from an incurable case of wanderlust, is a self-proclaimed wimp when it comes to extreme adventures, but is the first in line for ghost hunts.
