Palm Springs California offers everything you need for a great girlfriend getaway.
Warm temps, delicious food, entertainment, fantastic views and plenty of time for some rest & relaxation.
I and a friend made a quick escape to this oasis in the desert and loved every minute of our short stay.
We flew into LAX and made the 2+ hour drive to Palm Springs in our borrowed Mazda CX5, which made for a very comfortable and enjoyable drive.
Don’t want to make the drive? You can fly directly to fun in the sun by flying into the Palm Springs International Airport.
Where to Stay in Palm Springs California
On a recent visit I stayed at the Hyatt Palm Springs. I loved the location, rooms, pool, and restaurants.
The Hyatt is in a prime location that allows you to walk out the front door and take a short stroll to any number of bars, restaurants, spas and stores.
If you prefer to stay at a resort that offers golf there are a number of them in the area.
The Renaissance Esmeralda Resort and Spa is a full-service resort with a golf course.
The resort is located a bit out from other entertainment options. If you have a car with you it’s another great option.

Many A-listers have been spotted at this downtown Palm Springs bar. Be sure to head to the patio out back and enjoy the art work while enjoying a drink under the stars.
Where to Play in Palm Springs California
There is much to see and do in the greater Palm Springs area. A complete list of attraction, festivals and entertainment can be found on these links:
In my opinion, these are three of the “must” activities while you are in the area:
Palm Springs Arial Tram: Take a tram to the top of Mt. San Jacinto and overlook the desert below. The weather can be significantly different at the top so make sure to dress appropriately.
San Andres Jeep Tour: Hands down one of my favorite activities in the Palm Springs area. You’ll learn a lot, plus you’ll spend the day outdoors exploring the infamous San Andreas fault line.
Boutique Shopping along El Paseo: If you love to shop it doesn’t get much better then shopping the boutique shops along El Paseo Drive. From famous brands like Apple, Eileen Fisher, Coach and Tiffany to 5-star restaurants, jewelry stores, antiques and art.
I know you’ll have a great time in Palm Springs. There is so much to see and do and the weather is beautiful most days of the year.
