The Weird And The Odd At Ripley's Believe It Or Not in Orlando, FL

If you’re in Orlando and find the weird and odd intriguing you’ll want to make a stop at Ripley’s Believe It or Not. Conveniently located on International Drive, Ripley’s Believe It or Not is located in building that is falling into a sinkhole so it’s easy to spot. We’ve never visited a Ripley’s Believe It or Not before and it proved to be a very interesting experience. You just never know what you’ll find while walking through the exhibits.

This is a display of letters sent around the world to confirm the authenticity of items in Ripley’s.

I spotted Mr. Wadlow at Ripley’s. I first introduced readers to him a few years ago. He is the tallest man in the world and stood 8’11”. I was thrilled to see Alton, IL represented at Ripley’s!

This is one heck of a tire!

So glad we didn’t encounter anything of this size on our visits to the ocean.

As an avid scrabble player I loved the tower of famous names made from scrabble tiles.

I found Alan’s mothers maiden name on the tower. The book near the tower has a list of all the names and Thompson is on the tower somewhere, but no matter how hard I looked I couldn’t find it.

We also found an exhibit about Florida being the lightening capital of the world. Again, fortunate not to have experienced any lightening during our visit.

Of course, if you can’t make it to a Ripley’s Believe It or Not attraction you can still enjoy all the odd and weirdness via the printed page. The newest Ripley book is Reality Shock and is full of color images and interesting tidbits. (affiliate link included)
